    In this starter pack, you get the first 6 lessons of helicopter flying. Lessons 1 to 4 are 45 minutes each, and lessons 5 and 6 are 60 minutes each. This is because the first lessons are new and require a lot of concentration, and it takes a while before you get used to it and can fly for longer. 

    This includes an extensive theory lesson before each flight and a pilot logbook for logging your flying hours, ready for when you decide to continue with a private or commercial licence.

    In this private licence package, you get 45 hours of helicopter flying. 45 flying hours is the minimum required to take the exam for a private helicopter licence on this type of helicopter.

    Experience shows that most students get their private licence between 45 and 60 flying hours.

Helicopter trial lesson Lelystad

with or without passengers

This gives you a real first trial lesson in helicopter flying! Beforehand, you get a 30-minute briefing on what will happen during the trial lesson, to prepare you as well as possible. You go through the lesson together, including the basics of why a helicopter flies and how to control it. The pilots and instructors all speak Dutch and English.

Fly it yourself Lelystad

You will fly the helicopter yourself as much as possible, with the instructor beside you. Once you have done manoeuvres up in the air, such as turns, climbs, descents, descending turns and climbing turns, it is time to hover the helicopter.

Hovering is the most difficult and also the most fun part of helicopter flying. This means floating/holding still just above the ground. A unique interplay between human and machine: eye-hand coordination and making very small control corrections. A unique experience!

Types of helicopter

You can choose a trial lesson with an R44, Cabri G2 or S300 helicopter.

R44: For 1 student and up to 2 passengers. This is the ideal choice if you want to bring passengers along during the trial lesson.
Cabri G2: For 1 student. This is a new modern training helicopter. This trial lesson is also the right choice, should you later wish to continue learning for the private or commercial helicopter licence.
S300: For 1 student. This is a more economical choice if you want to experience a trial lesson purely as a one-off or give it as a gift.

Times & information

Bij elke proefles vind 30 minuten theorie vooraf. Daarna volgt het praktijkgedeelte, dat zijn de vliegminuten die je hier aankoopt. Een proefles vindt altijd in de ochtend plaats; het precieze tijdstip hoor je na de bestelling. Een helikopterles in het weekend kost €20,- extra, door hogere landingstarieven in het weekend.
