Helicopter lesson Lelystad
Here you get a real 1st trial lesson in helicopter flying! Beforehand, you will get a 30-minute briefing on what will take place that trial lesson to prepare you as well as possible. Together, you'll discuss the lesson through. This includes the basics of why a helicopter flies and how to fly it. The pilots and instructors all speak Dutch and English.
Self-flying Lelystad
You will fly the helicopter yourself as much as possible with the instructor alongside. After you have done overhead manoeuvres such as turns, climbing, descending, descending turns and climbing turns, it is time to hover the helicopter.
Hovering is the most difficult and also the most fun part of helicopter flying. This is hovering/ hovering just above the ground. A unique interplay between man and machine, eye-hand coordination and making very small steering corrections. A unique experience!

Type of helicopters
You can choose a trial lesson with an R44, Cabri G2 or S300 helicopter.
R44: For 1 student and up to 2 passengers. This is the ideal choice if you want to bring passengers along during the trial lesson.
Cabri G2: For 1 student. This is a new modern training helicopter. This trial lesson is also the right choice, should you later wish to continue learning for the private or commercial helicopter licence.
S300: For 1 student. This is a more economical choice if you want to experience a trial lesson purely as a one-off or give it as a gift.
Times & information
Each trial lesson comes with 30 minutes of theory beforehand. This is followed by the practical part, which are the flying minutes you purchase here. The time of flying will be determined after the order. At checkout, you can indicate your preference for morning or afternoon. We will then check with the planner for a suitable time. A helicopter lesson at the weekend costs an extra €20, due to higher landing fees at the weekend.
Availability
The R44 and Cabri G2 can 7 days be booked during the week.
The S300 can be on limited fixed dates. For available dates, check the date picker at the top of the page.
Choice aid
Choose which type of helicopter you want, student only or with passengers. We also offer the 30-minute trial lesson to think of your wallet, but a trial lesson comes out best in a 45-minute flight.
Cancellation insurance
