Want to know from which airport you can take off for a helicopter flight? In this blog, we explain which fixed locations we use, what the exceptions are (such as Teuge Eelde, Texel, Breda/Seppe, Twente Ameland and Hoogeveen) and why it is often smarter to drive to one of our fixed take-off locations. Everything you need to know for your flight planning.
At 123Helikopterflights, we have a number of fixed airports and boarding locations in the Netherlands where you can take off directly for a helicopter flight. Think Hilversum, Lelystad, Harskamp, Emmen and other locations that are centrally located for optimal accessibility.
From those fixed locations, you fly over regions, cities, natural areas or even your home area, depending on route and flight duration.
You may have seen that Teuge, Eelde, Texel, Breda/Seppe, Twente, Ameland and Hoogeveen are listed on the website as places where you can take (or fly over) a helicopter flight. However: we do not take off from these airports by default. But there are possibilities:
In practice, this boils down to this: it is often much cheaper to drive yourself to one of our fixed pick-up locations and start your helicopter flight there, then you only pay for the flight time of the actual flight, with no additional ferry charges.
But note: everything is possible by mutual agreement. If you have a special wish, we will be happy to discuss the possibilities.
If you book through us, it's a good idea to ask the following questions so there are no surprises:
Would you like to fly from Teuge, Eelde or another airport? We will gladly look at what is possible together, but keep in mind that you often have extra costs for ferry flights. In most cases, you will be cheaper if you drive to one of our fixed transfer points and take off there. That said: everything is negotiable.
